Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a hands-on engineering team. You’ll build, install, fault-find, maintain and commission automated mechanical and electrical systems in a workshop, with occasional travel to customer sites across the UK and Europe.

The role requires solid electrical and controls understanding, practical mechanical skills, and the ability to fault-find using schematics and a multimeter.

Qualifications

• Strong fault-finding skills on automated equipment.
• Solid electrical/control understanding with logical fault diagnosis.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use a multimeter.
• Experience with electrical panels, control components and three-phase motors.
• Experience with pumps, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, fault find, maintain and commission automated mechanical and electrical systems.
• Fault find across control panels, three-phase motors, relays, sensors and control components.
• Test and commission equipment in the workshop and at customer sites.
• Work with variable speed drives/inverters and diagnose issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics.
