Job summary

Gap Technical is partnering with a leading national automation business to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their Bristol facility. The role offers day and night shift cover within a busy production environment.

You will identify root causes of faults, undertake planned maintenance and overhauls, and train staff on machinery and processes, ensuring high equipment availability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Handling and Automation environment desirable.
• Apprentice trained with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and rectify root causes of machinery faults and support maintenance and improvements.
• Undertake planned maintenance, breakdown response, and annual overhauls to ensure equipment availability.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing staff on machinery and processes.
• Maintain and calibrate critical machine settings to improve efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute proactive maintenance strategies.
• Offer cross-team support to meet operational demands.
• Drive initiatives to reduce downtime and optimise plant performance.

Salary: £30.15ph (PAYE) INSIDE

Performance Objectives

• Identify and rectify root causes of machinery faults, supporting both day-to-day maintenance and long-term improvements.

• Offer support and cover across teams as needed to meet operational demands.


• Drive initiatives to improve engineering practices, reduce downtime, and optimise plant performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Handling and Automation environment (this would be highly desirable).


• Multi Skilled Engineer Electrically Bias 70/30
