Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United Kingdom near Great Yarmouth is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve electrical, automation and control systems across our manufacturing operations. This on-site role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm and Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm.

You will work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime, support continuous improvement, ensure health and safety compliance, and help maintain

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
• Good understanding of HSE and quality standards.
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical, automation, and control systems.
• Work with production, engineering and maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability.
• Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain maintenance records using CMMS.
• Install, commission, and modify machinery if required.
• Follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Liaise with contractors and external service providers.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures where applicable.
