Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is recruiting a Skilled Maintenance Technician for our Avonmouth Regional Distribution Site. You will own the site infrastructure, drive high standards, and ensure reliability through proactive planning and responsive action.

The role requires a time-served electrician (or equivalent HVAC qualification) with strong knowledge of safety regulations and CAFM systems; a proactive communicator who can coordinate with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in distribution/warehouse maintenance environments.
• Time-served electrician with relevant accreditation or HVAC qualification.
• Knowledge of health & safety regs (H&S, Water Hygiene/Legionella, LOLER, PUWER, Fire Safety).
• Familiarity with CDM regs and CAFM systems; proficient in Google Workspace.
• Understanding of procurement lifecycle and supplier management.
• Clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the supervisor in delivering the maintenance plan and asset care.
• Promote high performance, safety, and service standards.
• Conduct compliance audits and manage contractor works to mitigate risk.
• Assist budget control and evaluate in-house vs contractor delivery.
• Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive tasks per standards.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and on-site teams.
• Support energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives.
