MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

SANDIACRE, NOTTINGHAM

UP TO £47,526 (INCLUDING SHIFT ALLOWANCE)

Progress Rail is looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair all plant, equipment, and facilities.

The Role:

As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

1. Maintaining documentation such as job sheets, service reports, permits to work, risk assessments, and other relevant maintenance documentation.
2. Performing routine maintenance duties and other tasks as assigned.
3. Identifying, planning, presenting, and implementing continuous improvement ideas and projects.
4. Monitoring contractors to ensure safety compliance and proper use of PPE.
5. Assisting with work sequencing to ensure safety and efficiency within the maintenance department.
6. Reporting machinery breakdowns and maintaining status updates to ensure prompt attention and waste reduction.
7. Providing accurate time and cost estimates for maintenance tasks.
8. Ensuring all documentation is checked and signed off.
9. Assisting in sourcing and purchasing parts and equipment.

The Candidate:

The ideal Maintenance Technician will have:

• Time-served maintenance experience
• Working knowledge of electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting skills
