Job summary

Apleona is recruiting a Fabric Technician/Handyperson in Preston (PR1 8AF) to perform planned and reactive maintenance on client premises. The role covers fabric systems, painting, plumbing and carpentry, with duties including minor repairs and setup of offices and meeting rooms.

You will apply strong plumbing and joinery skills, a broad understanding of building services, and health and safety practices. IT literacy and prior experience in similar roles are desirable as part of a dynamic

Fabric Technician / Handyperson

Location – Preston, PR1 8AF

Hours – Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 17:00pm

We’re currently looking to recruit a Fabric Technician/Handyperson, who will undertake the planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises. You will be hardworking and committed to ensuring the highest standards are always adhered to, readily interacting with our client / tenants as required.

In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair fabric systems and components while also installing and maintaining a host of different fabric aspects and on occasions assisting with other duties including plumbing PPM and reactive tasks. You will also be diagnosing and correcting problems; selecting appropriate materials and provide advice to clients, contractors, and other professionals.

In addition, you will also maintain the fabric of the building including painting, plumbing, carpentry, undertaking general repairs and the setting up of offices and meeting rooms.

As an Apleona Fabric Technician/Handyperson, we’re looking for:

• Recognised industry qualifications, equivalent training programme
• Strong Plumbing skills / experience
• Strong Joinery skills / experience
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Broad knowledge and experience of building services systems, maintenance management and health and safety procedures
• IT Literate

In return, we’ll provide you with full training once you start and make sure that you have everything you need to do a great job and be part of our awesome team. You will work the above hours and be paid an annual salary of up to £37,000 with access to the following Apleona employee benefits.
