Job summary

Apleona UK currently seeks a Fabric Technician/Handyperson to perform planned and reactive maintenance at client premises in Preston. You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00am–17:00pm, and contribute to high standards of building maintenance.

You will install, maintain and repair fabric systems, assist with plumbing PPM and reactive tasks, diagnose issues, and advise clients and contractors. The role includes painting, carpentry, general repairs and setting up offices and meeting rooms.

Qualifications

• Recognised industry qualifications or equivalent training.
• Strong plumbing skills/experience.
• Strong joinery skills/experience.
• Broad knowledge of building services systems and safety procedures.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Undertake planned and reactive fabric maintenance at client premises.
• Install, maintain and repair fabric systems and components.
• Assist with plumbing PPM and reactive tasks as required.
• Diagnose faults, select materials and advise clients and contractors.
• Paint, carpentry, general repairs and setting up offices/meeting rooms.

  We’re currently looking to recruit a Fabric Technician/Handyperson , who will undertake the planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises. You will be hardworking and committed to ensuring the highest standards are always adhered to, readily interacting with our client / tenants as required.

  
  

  In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair fabric systems and components while also installing and maintaining a host of different fabric aspects and on occasions assisting with other duties including plumbing PPM and reactive tasks. You will also be diagnosing and correcting problems; selecting appropriate materials and provide advice to clients, contractors, and other professionals.

  
  

  In addition, you will also maintain the fabric of the building including painting, plumbing, carpentry, undertaking general repairs and the setting up of offices and meeting rooms.

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  
  
  • Broad knowledge and experience of building services systems, maintenance management and health and safety procedures
