We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Malvern on a 12-month fixed term contract that has the potential to become permanent.

What You'll Do

• Perform self-directed reactive and planned maintenance, observing machinery and equipment in operation and locating root cause problems
• Independently performs maintenance in accordance with industry standards
• Recondition and repair machine tools
• Perform device testing to observe performance, and tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems
• Identifies and sources parts and supplies and repair items as required
• Drives and participates in Continuous Improvement Activities - process, results and cost savings
• Updates and reviews Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Troubleshoots and analyses control systems to resolve software/hardware and configuration problems
• Utilises predictive maintenance technology to collect equipment performance data
• Follows all safety related policies, rules and regulations, technical instructions and guidelines and identifies potential workplace hazards
  
  

Essential

What you'll need:

• Certified technical qualification in a relevant discipline. Completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship preferably with an Electrical bias
• GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths
• Computer literate with experience of Microsoft applications
• Understand electrical, mechanical,. fluid power and control systems
• Good problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise own workload
  
  

Desirable

• Extensive related work experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in blown film extrusion, printing and conversion
• Familiar with Computer Maintenance Management Systems
