Job summary

Morgan Gray is seeking a Shift Maintenance Technician (electrical or mechanical) for a prestigious manufacturing site in London. You will maintain complex automated production machinery, control panels and systems on a 12-hour shift pattern.

You will perform reactive and planned maintenance, minimise downtime, and support site projects while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment performance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 NVQ/CG in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing/production or distribution environments.
• Security vetting required; clean criminal record; UK residence for last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Minimise downtime within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Work with both modern and legacy machinery across a large factory site.

Job description

Due to a significant uplift in work, a well-established and prestigious manufacturing organisation are looking for a Shift Maintenance Technician (electrical or mechanical).

The position is working in a unique, clean and fasted paced production environment with a range of complex, high speed machinery and auxiliary plant equipment.

The role will involve:

• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including complex automated production machinery, control panels, and control systems
• Minimising downtime within a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Working with both modern and legacy machinery across a large factory site
• Supporting the Maintenance Manager with site projects and operational requirements
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment performance and efficiency

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must hold a Level 3 NVQ/C&G qualification (or higher) in either mechanical or electrical engineering.

Maintenance experience in a similar position within a manufacturing/production or distribution environment is also required.

Successful candidates will undergo security vetting and will need a clean criminal record and have lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years.

• 12 hour shifts Monday to Friday (3 or 4 per week)
• Hours are 6am/6pm with an average 37.5 hour week
