Are you an apprentice trained multi-skilled maintenance professional, looking for a permanent job opportunity?

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful and highly recognised leading international manufacturer located on the outskirts of Worcester. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.

This position is working on 4 rotating shifts:

Mornings: 06:00am 14:00pm Monday - Friday

Afternoons: 13:45pm 22:00pm Monday - Thursday and Friday 12:15pm 19:15pm

Nights: 22:00pm 06:00am

Days: 07:00am - 15:30pm Monday - Thursday and Friday 07:00am - 13:00pm

Salary on offer for this role is GBP40,508 plus 20% shift allowance (GBP48,609)

As Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for the safe and effective delivery of the day-to-day site maintenance. Working in partnership with the production team, the Maintenance Technician will ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner and to the required standard

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate previous experience working within a process, production or manufacturing environment with relevant engineering background and a proactive approach to site maintenance.

Main Duties:

• To observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure.
• To service adjust and repair machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner.
• To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance and plan of action for improvements.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules.
• To interpret and implement technical service instruction data relating to machinery and equipment.
• Take on any training provided by the company to further enhance the skills.
• Use the stores system to accurately record parts taken out and booked in
• To order appropriate replacement parts as required.
• Use and support simple 5WHY CI techniques / RCA techniques.
• Use and support departmental 6s programmes
• Use and Support Reliability centred maintenance techniques.
• Support the department with internal / external audits
• To use the CMMS system effectively recording information accurately.
• To use CMMS historical data for fault trending and quick resolution for fault finding

Required skills and experience:

• Previous experience working within a process, production or manufacturing environment with relevant engineering background
• Multi-skilled with an electrical bias
• Apprentice trained
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Have a proactive approach to site maintenance.
• Be resourceful and self-motivated
• Be able to communicate at all levels from Director Operatives.
• Attention to detail.
• A team player and good communicator with the ability to deal with other contractors or maintenance workers.
• Flexible and Hands On approach, working with minimum supervision and dealing with multiple demands.
