Job summary

Clarence House Day Nurseries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Cambridge-area nurseries. You will handle day-to-day maintenance across our sites, including painting and decorating, gardening, and basic plumbing and carpentry. You should be reliable and comfortable working around children.

This role involves traveling to our nurseries in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire, with transport and tools provided. An Enhanced DBS check is required and paid for by us.

Qualifications

• Experience in property or nursery maintenance.
• Reliable and responsible with a pleasant manner around children.
• Willing to travel between nurseries in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

Job description

We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician for the day-to-day maintenance at our nurseries in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

Duties will include general maintenance, such as painting & decorating, gardening, and basic plumbing and carpentry; some jobs will require climbing a ladder.

Transport and tools will be provided. The position would involve travelling to all our nurseries in the area.

We are seeking someone who is experienced, responsible and reliable. A pleasant manner is essential as you will be working around children.

As this role involves working in a nursery setting, it is therefore subject to an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. Any offer of employment will be conditional on receipt of a satisfactory check. The cost of this check will be covered by us.

Clarence House Day Nurseries is a nursery group with 18 locations in East Anglia and the East Midlands.

You will be working around 40 hours a week at a rate of £17 per hour.
