Job summary

Owen Daniels are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our friendly maintenance team in a manufacturing environment in Aldershot, Hampshire. You will maintain a wide range of machinery and support the build of bespoke welding machines and site improvement projects.

The role offers an hourly rate of £18-£20 and a 39-hour week, with permanent employment and weekly pay. You should have strong mechanical maintenance experience, knowledge of manual or CNC machine tools, and a hands-on

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance experience within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience maintaining manual or CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Experience with production machinery or furnaces would be beneficial.
• A hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills and willingness to get involved.
• Mechanical engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
• Maintaining a range of machinery including lathes, mills, grinders, furnaces and wire‑making lines
• Supporting the mechanical assembly of bespoke welding machines
• Helping manage the site maintenance schedule to reduce downtime
• Identifying improvements to machinery and processes
• Working closely with the maintenance and production teams
