Job summary

Warner Hotels is seeking a Maintenance Technician at the Runnymede on Thames, part of Warner Hotels Group. You’ll join a small onsite team responsible for keeping the hotel functional, performing basic plumbing, painting, electrical tasks, and general repairs to ensure guest comfort.

You will work independently and with the Maintenance Team Supervisor to maintain the building, grounds, and plant; a flexible, guest-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently to care for the maintenance of the building and perform minor repairs.
• Painter and Decorator for internal and external surfaces with prep work.
• Comfortable handling plumbing, plant machinery or grounds work.
• Familiar with using and maintaining a range of equipment including hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs to the hotel building and facilities.
• Perform painting and decorating prep for internal/external work.
• Assist with plumbing, electrical tasks and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Maintain tools and equipment and support the maintenance team to ensure guest comfort.

Join our team at the Runnymede on Thames, part of the Warner Hotels Group. Opening as a Warner in 2024, this beautiful hotel on the River Thames near Windsor offers award-winning spa facilities, restaurants, bars, and outdoor activities.

Up to £13.21 per hour (dependent on your age)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at Warner Hotels. As part of our supportive team, you will develop and grow into delivering a great service within the Maintenance department. Alongside the Maintenance Team Supervisor you will be a fundamental part of the smooth running of the hotel.

As a Maintenance team member, you'll be part of a small onsite team dedicated to ensuring the hotel is maintained effectively. We'd love you to be a generalist in skill - happy to be completing basic plumbing one day and re-wiring a plug on another day, keeping abreast of all essential maintenance repairs and minor works.

What are we looking for?

• Someone who can work independently to care for the maintenance of the building carrying out minor ensuring the building is not only looking it’s best, but all areas are fully functioning.
• A capable Painter and Decorator to carry out internal and external painting and decorating, preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
• Comfortable in managing minor maintenance works including plumbing, plant machinery, or grounds work.
• Able to use and maintain a range of equipment to include loose hand tools, power tools and door lock equipment.
• Be guest focused, always having a positive and problem-solving attitude.
• A people person who would put the guest journey at the heart of everything they do.
• Someone who will care about the wider team and look to support wherever needed.
