Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader in Kempston, Bedford, to lead the engineering team in a fast-paced logistics and distribution environment, ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently. You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across automated systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment.

The role requires hands-on leadership, workload allocation, and supporting engineers during complex breakdowns, with daily use of Maximo CMMS to record activity

Qualifications

• Maximo CMMS experience is essential.
• Experience leading or supervising an engineering/maintenance team.
• Strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience working within a fast-paced automated environment.
• Engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across automated systems.
• Allocate workloads and support engineers with complex breakdowns.
• Manage maintenance schedules and record activity in Maximo.
• Drive engineering standards and reduce downtime.
• Remain hands-on to assist with fault finding.
