Maintenance Team Leader - FMCG

A globally recognised FMCG organisation based in Stoke-on-Trent is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (2 Days / 2 Nights)

Leading a small team of Engineers, this role will remain hands-on, working in a clean room environment maintaining processing equipment, industrial ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machines across their busy production line. This site features a range of specialist machinery manufacturing bespoke products for one of the most well-known brands in the country.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer with leadership experience or potential to advance their career. The role is highly varied, with a 70/30 split favoring hands-on maintenance activities and management tasks.

Key duties include:

1. Leadership and mentoring
2. Fault finding on basic electrical/electronic, mechanical, or pneumatic circuits
3. Reading electrical and mechanical drawings
4. Carrying out reactive and Planned/Preventative Maintenance tasks
5. Fault finding activities
6. Basic mechanical work

To be considered, candidates should have proven experience as a maintenance engineer/technician in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a team or shift lead role is desirable but not essential. Candidates must also hold a formal Engineering qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or higher.
