Maintenance Surveyor

Location: Maryport – Hybrid role with office, home, and on-site work across the Cumbria region

Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week)

Salary: Circa £40,000 – £45,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Includes benefits such as a Health Cash Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre- and post-inspections of repairs on responsive and void properties within your patch, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical advice and support to trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Manage contracts and monitor progress against building schedules.
• Handle disrepair cases and assist customers with damp and mould issues.
• Measure materials accurately for effective repairs.
• Ensure void re-servicing meets standards for quick re-let.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in surveying or building-related field, or significant professional experience.
• Knowledge of damp and mould causes; willingness to work towards relevant qualifications.
• Experience in diagnosing property conditions, including disrepair and complex issues like subsidence.
• Ability to manage contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety laws, including CDM.
• Proactive, self-sufficient, and capable of managing your patch effectively within budget and time constraints.
