Allstaff Recruitment is currently seeking a Maintenance Surveyor based in Bedfordshire for a local company.

Summary of the Maintenance Surveyor role

Salary: Competitive
Location: Bedfordshire
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities

1. Undertake annual stock condition surveys.
2. Raise work orders for in-house staff and external contractors.
3. Produce accurate and concise reports.
4. Manage contractors and monitor their progress.
5. Carry out inspections, diagnose building defects, and produce specifications.
6. Specify and implement thermal improvement works, especially for older or listed buildings.
7. Prepare tender documentation and project manage contract works.
8. Programming, financial control, and administration.
9. Produce accurate estimates for building works.

Requirements

• Previous building maintenance experience is essential.
• Experience managing and maintaining historic buildings is highly advantageous.
• Experience in contract administration.
• Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel.
• Experience with CAD, Qube, and MS Project is advantageous.
• Knowledge of building standards, planning regulations, and regulatory standards.
