Stirling Warrington Limited is seeking an experienced Interim Maintenance Engineering Supervisor to lead a busy heavy manufacturing operation on a 3-month contract.

The role is hands-on, on-the-tools, supervising a maintenance team while carrying out electrical and/or mechanical maintenance, fault finding and reliability improvements across the site.

Contract details include a rate of £400 per day, outside IR35, with a focus on maintaining plant availability and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a maintenance team in heavy manufacturing.
• Level 3 apprenticeship or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown response skills.

Interim Maintenance Engineering Supervisor

3-Month Contract £400 per day Outside IR35

We are currently recruiting for an experiencedMaintenance Engineering Supervisorto join a busy heavy manufacturing operation on an initial3-month interim contract.

This is ahands-on, on-the-tools supervisory position. You will lead the maintenance team while remaining actively involved in fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance and day-to-day engineering activities across the site.

The Role

Working within a demanding heavy manufacturing environment, you will supervise the maintenance team and play a key role in keeping plant and machinery operating safely and efficiently.

You will be expected to be comfortable gettinghands-on with the toolsand leading by example.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising and supporting a team of maintenance engineers/technicians.
• Carrying outhands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance.
• Diagnosing and rectifying equipment faults and breakdowns.
• Coordinating planned, preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Prioritising engineering work to minimise production downtime.
• Working closely with Production to maintain plant availability.
• Providing technical support and guidance to the maintenance team.
• Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard.
• Supporting continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Managing day-to-day engineering priorities and allocating work across the team.
• Ensuring relevant maintenance records and systems are maintained.

About You

We are looking for agenuinely experienced maintenance engineer who has progressed into a supervisory/team leadership position.

You will ideally have:

• A recognisedLevel 3 apprenticeship or higherinElectrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related maintenance discipline.
• Significant experience working in aheavy manufacturing, industrial or similarly demanding engineering environment.
• Proven maintenance engineering experience across either electrical or mechanical disciplines.
• Previous experience supervising, leading or coordinating a maintenance team.
• Strong fault-finding and breakdown response experience.
• A practical,hands-on "on the tools" approach.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a production environment.
• A strong understanding of engineering Health & Safety requirements.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
