Purpose
The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As a supervisor, you will report directly to the Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and the Maintenance Manager.
This role involves overseeing all mechanical maintenance tasks, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and compliance with site and industry regulations, including those for a top-tier COMAH Site. Collaboration with operations is essential to meet quality requirements relating to ISO standards and cGMP, as well as preventing cross-contamination.
You will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical maintenance activities are completed safely and promptly, working closely with planning and site engineers to enhance plant reliability.
Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesKey accountabilities include maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards, managing the Mechanical Maintenance team, allocating work, reviewing work packs, and ensuring documentation and work order closure in the CMMS system.
Additional duties involve managing team timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, developing job packs and schedules, contributing to root cause analyses, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
In SHEQ management, you will promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and report incidents and best practices.
Regarding equipment management, you will supervise technicians, support projects, liaise with OEM contractors, and ensure compliance and maintenance tasks are completed on time.
