NHS Scotland is recruiting for a Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrician) based at Stracathro Hospital to service the Angus Community area, with regular travel to other sites within Tayside. A fully trained Maintenance Craftsman (Electrician) will ensure electrical systems operate safely and reliably across Estates services.
The role requires recognised craft apprenticeship or equivalent, plus appropriate electrical qualifications.

A permanent opportunity has arisen for the post (x3) of Maintenance Craftsperson (Electrician) based at Stracathro Hospital to serve within the Angus Community area, with regular travel and work at other sites within Tayside.
Recognized and registered EITB or CITB (or equivalent) craft apprenticeship. Plus HNC/ ONC/ BTEC Electrical/Electronic Engineering or City and Guilds 236 Electrical Installation Work Part 2. Or City and Guild 232 Electrical and Electronic Craft Part 2. Or City and Guild 224 Electronic Servicing Part 2. Or Equivalent Approved Qualification, or in special circumstances equivalent experience. And Experience and Training, which will be appropriate to satisfy the necessary academic standards, required.
The post holder will act as a fully trained and certificated Maintenance Craftsman (Electrician) to provide electrical maintenance services to meet the needs of the Estate service provision.
To install, repair and maintain electrical equipment within all properties of the Organization in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the mechanical systems within the Organisation.
Participation in an out of hours on call rota are required.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
