Job summary

Pertemps Warrington is seeking a Field Installation Technician in Warrington to travel across the UK installing, repairing, inspecting and cleaning soft play and family entertainment centres. The role involves planned maintenance, component replacement, and on-site problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, construction or similar role.
• Experience working on customer sites is preferred.
• IPAF, PASMA or similar certification would be advantageous.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and stay away overnight (paid).
• Full UK driving licence (over 21 for insurance purposes).
• Able to work at height and undergo enhanced DBS check (company pays).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance visits at customer sites.
• Fit and repair soft play centres and replace worn components.
• Use specialised tools to assemble soft play structures (climbing frames, slides, platforms, padding, netting).
• Identify and fix installation issues (misaligned parts, gaps).
• Conduct cleaning/sanitizing activities and thorough inspections to ensure safety standards.
• Maintain company tools and equipment and provide friendly customer service.

This full-time Maintenance / Site Operative 2026 role in Warrington offers £13 per hour, rising to £15 plus overtime, on a temp-to-perm basis. Working Monday to Friday day shifts, with flexibility required, the successful candidate joins a small crew travelling across the UK to install, repair, inspect and clean soft play and family entertainment centres. Duties include planned maintenance visits, fitting and fixing equipment, and replacing worn components using specialised tools. Prior experience in installation, maintenance or a related trade proves advantageous. Our client

a local manufacturing company and supplier of soft play and family entertainment centres, are looking to recruit a Field Installation Technician to join their team. Working across the UK, you will be working within a small team, installing, repairing, inspecting and cleaning soft play and family entertainment centres.

As a Field Installation Technician your duties will be:

• Carry out planned maintenance visits at customer sites.
• Fitting and repairing soft play centres and replacing damaged or worn components.
• Using specialised tools to assemble the various elements of the soft play structure, including connecting climbing frames, slides, and platforms, padding and netting.
• Identifying and fixing any potential problems during installation, such as misaligned pieces or gaps.
• Conduct specialist cleaning activities/sanitizing equipment.
• Performing thorough inspections to verify that all components are correctly installed and meet safety standards.
• Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain a professional, polite and friendly manner when dealing with customers.

The successful Field Installation Technician will have the following skills:

• Must have previous experience in a maintenance, construction, installation or similar type of role.
• Must have experience working on customer sites.
• IPAF, PASMA or similar certification would be advantageous.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools in a safe manner.
• Must have a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK and flexible to overnight stays (paid for).
• Must have a full UK driving licence (for insurance purposes you must be over 21 years old).
• Able to work at height where required and appropriately trained.
• Willing to have an enhanced DBS check completed (company will pay for).
• Work well within a team.
