Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales is seeking a Field Installation Technician in Warrington (WA4 6PS). You will install, inspect, repair and maintain soft play centres across the UK, using hand and power tools, with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires travel, occasional overnight stays, a valid UK driving licence, and a DBS check. Temp-to-perm with overtime and expensed travel benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, construction, installation or similar field.
• Experience working on customer sites.
• Certification (IPAF/PASMA) would be advantageous.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide with overnight stays (paid).
• Full UK driving licence (over 21 for insurance).
• Able to work at height and undergo enhanced DBS check (paid).
• Team-oriented and able to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance visits at customer sites.
• Fit and repair soft play centres and replace damaged components.
• Assemble elements of soft play structures with tools, including frames, slides, padding and nets.
• Identify and fix misalignments or gaps during installation.
• Conduct cleaning and sanitizing activities.
• Inspect installations to ensure safety standards are met.
• Maintain company tools and equipment in good condition.
• Maintain professional, polite, and friendly customer interactions.

Job Title: Field Installation Technician

Location: Warrington (WA4 6PS)

Salary: £13.00 p/h increasing up to £15.00 p/h + overtime

Shifts: Monday- Friday Day shift- Must be flexible

Contract: Temp- Perm

Our client, a local manufacturing company and supplier of soft play and family entertainment centres, are looking to recruit a Field Installation Technician to join their team.

Working across the UK, you will be working within a small team, installing, repairing, inspecting and cleaning soft play and family entertainment centres.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance visits at customer sites.
• Fitting and repairing soft play centres and replacing damaged or worn components.
• Using specialised tools to assemble the various elements of the soft play structure, including connecting climbing frames, slides, and platforms, padding and netting.
• Identifying and fixing any potential problems during installation, such as misaligned pieces or gaps.
• Conduct specialist cleaning activities/sanitizing equipment.
• Performing thorough inspections to verify that all components are correctly installed and meet safety standards.
• Maintain company tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain a professional, polite and friendly manner when dealing with customers.

Required Skills

• Must have previous experience in a maintenance, construction, installation or similar type of role.
• Must have experience working on customer sites.
• IPAF, PASMA or similar certification would be advantageous.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools in a safe manner.
• Must have a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK and flexible to overnight stays (paid for)
• Must have a full UK driving licence (for insurance purposes you must be over 21 years old).
• Able to work at height where required and appropriately trained.
• Willing to have an enhanced DBS check completed (company will pay for).
• Work well within a team.
