Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking an organised Scheduler to join our Direct Services team. You will help ensure repairs are booked, managed and completed efficiently and will liaise with residents, operatives and contractors to resolve issues promptly.

You’ll be based at one of our main offices with hybrid working options, collaborating across Property Administration and Customer Services to maintain schedules, prioritise urgent tasks and drive high standards of service for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling or coordinating work in a maintenance, housing or repairs environment.
• Frontline, customer‑focused service experience.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills with data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload with competing demands.
• Confidence using IT systems and standard office software.
• Experience in housing management is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate repairs, bookings and maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with residents, operatives and contractors to resolve issues quickly.
• Maintain accurate records and update scheduling diaries.
• Prioritise urgent and emergency repairs in line with service levels.
• Support resident involvement and customer care initiatives.
• Collaborate with Direct Services to improve first‑time fix rates.
