Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC in the Edgware/London area is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (Plumber / Carpenter bias). You’ll travel in a company van to approx. 40 sites, carrying out plumbing, joinery, painting, tiling, and related maintenance tasks.

You’ll manage parts, van stock and workload, build relationships with Area and General Managers, and enjoy a 35-hour week with no evenings or on-call, plus benefits like a pension match and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a multi-skilled trade, plumbing and/or joinery
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexible approach to tasks
• Excellent communication and customer service focus
• Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight timescales

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance tasks across multiple sites (pubs/restaurants) including plumbing, joinery, painting, tiling, and related upkeep
• Order parts, maintain van stock, and log jobs on the IT system
• Build strong working relationships with Area and General Managers to optimise service quality
• Work 35 hours per week, with fixed shifts and no evenings or on-call rota
