Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (plumber/carpenter bias) to service pubs and restaurants in Wimbledon and Worcester Park. You’ll use a company van to travel from home to sites and perform general maintenance across around 40 locations.

You'll be responsible for basic plumbing, joinery, painting, tiling, pest proofing and occasional larger works such as kitchens and bathrooms. A full UK driving licence and strong customer-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in multi-skilled trade including plumbing and/or joinery
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexible approach to tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to work on own initiative and make decisions
• Ability to work to tight timescales

Responsibilities

• Basic cold-water plumbing, including fixing toilet flushes and leaking pipes
• Woodwork and joinery
• Painting and decorating
• Floor and wall tiling
• Pest proofing
• Occasional larger works such as fence replacements, fitting of replacement kitchens and bathrooms
• Manage ordering of parts, van stock, and your own workload; log jobs on the IT system
