Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers is looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative (Plumber/Carpenter bias) to travel from home to pubs and restaurants in Edgware and London. You’ll handle plumbing, joinery, decorating, tiling, and pest-proofing, visiting ~40 sites with a company van.

No on-call, evenings or weekend work and flexible hours are available. You’ll log jobs, order parts, and maintain van stock while building strong relationships with Area and General Managers to ensure top‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in either a multi-skilled trade role including experience of plumbing and / or joinery.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexible approach to tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• Ability to work on own initiative and make decisions.
• Ability to work to tight timescales.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance works across pubs and restaurants in Edgware and London area (~40 sites).
• Perform plumbing, joinery, painting/decorating, tiling, pest-proofing as required.
• Manage parts ordering, van stock, and workload; log jobs in IT system.
