Job summary

Converge Technology Solutions UK is seeking a practical, reliable Maintenance Operative to join our Operations team at Stafford HQ on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will carry out routine maintenance, basic repairs, and help keep our facilities safe, functional, and presentable for staff, customers and visitors.

This role suits someone with maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience who takes pride in high standards, works safely, and can prioritise tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in maintenance, facilities, caretaking, or handyman roles.
• General building maintenance and repairs experience.
• Competence with hand tools and power tools.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Complete basic plumbing, painting, decorating, carpentry and other handyman tasks.
• Conduct site inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain external areas, pathways, car parks and communal spaces.
• Support planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist with fire safety checks and emergency preparedness.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests across the site.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety requirements.
