Job summary

Contechs Consulting is seeking a Maintenance Technician on a contract basis in Solihull. The role covers non-intrusive and intrusive maintenance, breakdown support, and participation in preventative maintenance across multiple areas of the business.

You will work with the FA3 maintenance operations team to ensure high equipment reliability, safety, and adherence to production targets. Relevant indented/apprenticeship and strong mechanical/electrical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Essential: technical (mechanical & electrical) engineering skills gained in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of electrical control and mechanical systems.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost reduction in the area, root cause faults and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain equipment to the highest standards reducing MTTR, MTBF, MTTA.
• Work within the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient equipment performance within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & Environment framework.
• Achieve equipment service and repair objectives as directed.
• Provide technical response to breakdowns of facilities and their controls to minimise downtime.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance completion targets and environmental initiatives.
• Support Health and Safety initiatives and waste reduction efforts.
• Undertake other work as directed by line manager/group leader.
