Job summary

Lantmännen Unibake in Bedford is seeking a proactive Maintenance Planner to join our busy bakery engineering team. You will plan and schedule preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and reduce production disruptions.

Working closely with the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Manager, you will drive continuous improvement, manage CMMS activities, and ensure safe, efficient maintenance across a 24/7 operation at the Bedford site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance Planner/Coordinator or Engineering Planning
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices in manufacturing
• Experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Continuous improvement mindset focused on efficiency and reliability
• Experience in food manufacturing / FMCG environments would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all maintenance activities in line with production requirements
• Manage maintenance work orders and ensure timely completion
• Coordinate labour, materials, tools, parts and contractor requirements
• Support development and optimisation of the site's CMMS system
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and produce performance reports
• Liaise with production and engineering teams to prioritise activities
• Drive improvements in planning processes and maintenance effectiveness
• Contribute to asset hierarchies and maintenance strategies within the CMMS
