Job summary

Lantmännen Bakery in Bedford is seeking a proactive Maintenance Planner to join a busy 24/7 operation. You will plan and schedule preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise production disruption.

Working with the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Manager, you’ll manage CMMS work orders, coordinate labour and materials, and drive improvements in planning processes to support a high-performing site.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Planner, Maintenance Coordinator or Engineering Planning role.
• Strong understanding of maintenance practices within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all maintenance activities in line with production requirements.
• Manage maintenance work orders and ensure jobs are completed on time.
• Coordinate labour, materials, tools, parts and contractor requirements.
• Support the development and optimisation of the site's CMMS system.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and produce performance reports.
• Liaise with production and engineering teams to prioritise maintenance activities.
• Drive improvements in planning processes and maintenance effectiveness.
• Develop asset hierarchies and maintenance strategies within the CMMS.
