Job summary

Guardian Industries' Goole plant in East Yorkshire seeks an Engineering and Maintenance Planner to lead execution planning for maintenance, optimise tool time, and support reliable plant operations. You will develop work scopes, prepare CMMS packs, estimate resources, and drive weekly scheduling while coordinating contractors.

Essentially, you will ensure safe, efficient maintenance delivery in a 24/7 environment, applying PBM principles and delivering continuous improvement in maintenance

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
• Proven experience contributing within a 24/7 industrial, manufacturing, process or heavy engineering environment.
• Planning, coordinating, recording and communicating maintenance activities across short- and long-term programmes.
• Coordinating manpower, resources and maintenance execution during routine operations and outages.
• Developing maintenance work packs and managing CMMS/EAM systems.
• Supervising personnel, workload planning and contractor management.
• Strong commitment to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
• Understanding Koch PBM principles: integrity, stewardship, compliance, value creation and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive work scopes for mechanical inspections and maintenance work orders.
• Prepare detailed maintenance work packs in the Guardian CMMS for scheduling and execution.
• Estimate labour, materials, equipment, procedures and task durations.
• Create and maintain equipment histories, inspection records and standard work in CMMS.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve maintenance effectiveness and strategies.
• Identify and manage third‑party contractors and service providers.
• Lead and drive the weekly maintenance schedule to maximise plant reliability.
• Apply Koch PBM principles to planning and decision‑making activities.
• Promote and maintain high standards of environmental, health and safety compliance.
