Job summary

W Talent are delighted to partner with an established FMCG manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Maintenance Planner on a temporary basis. The role sits in a busy engineering team, coordinating planned and preventative maintenance across the site to support reliability and production.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will plan, schedule and monitor maintenance activities, manage the backlog, coordinate contractors and ensure parts and resources are available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Planner or Engineering Coordinator.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG/food/beverage.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Experience using CMMS systems.
• Excellent communication with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive, planned and corrective maintenance across site.
• Coordinate maintenance activities around production requirements to minimise disruption.
• Maintain the site maintenance schedule and engineering backlog.
• Liaise with Engineering and Production to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate external contractors, ensuring work is planned and site requirements met.
• Ensure spare parts, materials, tools and resources are available ahead of planned maintenance.
• Raise, manage and close maintenance work orders through the CMMS.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure relevant documentation is completed.
• Monitor planned maintenance completion, outstanding work and performance.
• Support maintenance reporting and performance data.
