Job summary

Kerry at its Runcorn Taste & Nutrition facility is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Planner to efficiently plan, schedule and allocate non-emergency maintenance work. You will work closely with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to build robust maintenance plans and report on data within the department.

This full-time, permanent role requires strong planning skills, experience with Intelex and SAP PM, and a proactive approach to safety and quality in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and scheduling maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
• Good written and oral communication skills; able to negotiate maintenance needs with other departments.
• Solid understanding of safety standards and food safety considerations.

Responsibilities

• Adopt a Safety First approach when planning maintenance work.
• Plan, schedule and control non-emergency maintenance workflow from origination to assignment.
• Manage day-to-day task allocation from the Intelex system.
• Coordinate parts, machine availability and maintenance engineer time.
• Liaise with production, supply chain and maintenance to meet plant objectives.
• Keep teams informed on critical situations and seek guidance as needed.
• Ensure maintenance aligns with engineering standards including safety and ergonomics.
• Identify opportunities to improve working methods and preventive maintenance regimes.
• Maintain audit-ready records and reports of maintenance activities.
• Record activity using Excel, COUPA, CMMS, SAP PM and Intelex.

About the role

Based at our Runcorn Taste & Nutrition production facility, the Engineering Maintenance Planner is responsible for the efficient planning, scheduling and allocation of all non-emergency maintenance work.
Working closely with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain teams the successful candidate will create robust maintenance plans, building the structures within the planned maintenance system and providing statistics and create reports on relevant data within the department.
This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Adopting a 'Safety First and Quality Always' approach when planning all maintenance work.
• Efficiently planning, scheduling and controlling the workflow of all non-emergency maintenance from origination through to assignment.
• Manage the day-to-day task/job allocation generated from the Intelex system.
• Coordination of parts, machine availability and time of maintenance engineers.
• Liaise with production, supply chain and maintenance organisations to achieve the maintenance objectives while ensuring production can achieve the desired output from the plant.
• Keeps the Engineering and Production Teams properly informed on all abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice on matters outside of the planner's knowledge or authority.
• Ensure all maintenance related works align with engineering standards including sanitary design, safety, ergonomics and food safety requirements.
• Identifies opportunities for improving ways of working and preventive maintenance regimes.
• Maintain appropriate records and files for the analysis and reporting of results of work carried out and ensure the files are always audit ready.
• Following systems processes to efficiently manage and record all activity (Excel, COUPA, CMMS, SAP PM, INTELEX).

Qualifications and skills

• Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role with a good understanding of mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Good written and oral communication skills, possess tact, and the ability to negotiate maintenance needs in balance with other departmental requirements.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Strong IT skills MS Office and SAP (mandatory).
