Strategic Maintenance Planner – Manufacturing

Job summary

Kerry Group in Runcorn is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Planner to create robust maintenance plans and schedules for non-emergency work at our Taste & Nutrition facility. You will collaborate with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations.

The role requires experience in maintenance planning within a manufacturing setting, strong IT skills including MS Office and SAP, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role with a good understanding of mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment and Familiarity with maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Good written and oral communication skills, possess tact, and the ability to negotiate maintenance needs in balance with other departmental requirements.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Strong IT skills MS Office and SAP (mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Adopt a Safety First and Quality Always approach when planning all maintenance work.
• Plan, schedule and control the workflow of all non-emergency maintenance from origination through to assignment.
• Manage day-to-day task/job allocation generated from the Intelex system.
• Coordinate parts, machine availability and time of maintenance engineers.
• Liaise with production, supply chain and maintenance to meet maintenance objectives while ensuring plant output.
• Keep Engineering and Production teams informed on abnormal or critical situations and seek advice as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance works align with engineering standards including sanitary design, safety, ergonomics and food safety.
• Identify opportunities to improve ways of working and preventive maintenance regimes.
• Maintain records for analysis and reporting of results and ensure audit readiness.
• Follow system processes to manage and record all activity (Excel, COUPA, CMMS, SAP PM, INTELEX).
