Job summary

Priory Group's New Stead House in Redcar is recruiting a Maintenance Person on a full-time, 37.5 hour week. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, at a site that provides residential support for residents with disabilities.

The role involves keeping the building well maintained, safe and welcoming, while following quality standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll carry out routine maintenance, patrols of the unit and grounds, ensure doors/windows are secure, and support the team to

Qualifications

• Good tool proficiency.
• Good knowledge of health and safety compliance.
• Knowledge of water, fire and COSHH compliance.
• Experience with grounds upkeep.
• Good knowledge of inputting data on IT systems.
• Reactive repairs experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a well-decorated, safe and comfortable environment throughout the site, in line with quality standards, and follows work processes which comply with statutory regulations.
• Ensure Priory minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
• Undertake regular internal and external patrols of the unit and its grounds, ensuring that all the windows and doors are closed and locked as appropriate to the time of day.
• Carry out compliance testing (i.e. fire alarms, bed inspections, vehicle checks) as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.

Full Time – 37.5 hours

Priory New Stead House is looking to recruit a Maintenence Person to join the team.This is a full time, 37.5 hour role with your working hours between Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.

New Stead House is located in the town of Redcar, in Cleveland. Our home offers residential support for 17 autistic males and females. We are located on a side road, close to the town centre and the seafront.

We can also support those who have:

• A learning disability
• Difficulties with communication
• Mild to moderate behaviours that challenge
• Epilepsy

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
