Job summary

Priory New Stead House is seeking a Maintenance Person to join their full-time team in Redcar. The role runs 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with a pay of £14.45 per hour.

You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and support daily operations across the site. The position requires good tool proficiency and knowledge of health and safety, COSHH, water and fire compliance, plus grounds upkeep and IT data entry.

Qualifications

• Good tool proficiency.

• Experience with grounds upkeep.
• Good knowledge of inputting data on IT systems.
• Reactive repairs experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, well-decorated environment across the site, in line with quality standards and statutory regulations.
• Ensure Priory minimum standards are delivered in all site areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
• Undertake regular internal and external patrols of the unit and its grounds, ensuring windows/doors are closed and locked as appropriate.
• Carry out compliance testing (fire alarms, bed inspections, vehicle checks) as instructed by the Maintenance Manager.

Full Time – 37.5 hours

Priory New Stead House is looking to recruit a Maintenence Person to join the team. This is a full time, 37.5 hour role with your working hours between Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.

New Stead House is located in the town of Redcar, in Cleveland. Our home offers residential support for 17 autistic males and females. We are located on a side road, close to the town centre and the seafront.

We can also support those who have:

• A learning disability
• Difficulties with communication
• Mild to moderate behaviours that challenge
• Epilepsy

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
