Job summary

Priory Group in Kirklea, Kilmarnock, is seeking a Maintenance Technician on a part-time basis to help keep the home in excellent condition for residents and staff.

This role offers 18 hours per week with a supportive team and opportunities for training and career progression within Priory Group's Site Support team. The position is based at Kirklea, centrally located in Kilmarnock, serving residents with autism spectrum needs and associated conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the home in top condition, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.
  • Identify, report, and resolve maintenance or safety issues, helping the home run smoothly.
  • Work with local contractors, providing guidance and support to ensure planned and preventative maintenance is completed efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inspection certificates and records to ensure all work meets quality and statutory standards.
  • Support the Home Manager to continuously improve our environment and services.

Kirklea has an opportunity for a Maintenence Technician to join our team.

This role is offered on a part time basis working 18 hours per week.

Kirklea is located in the centre of Kilmarnock, within walking distance of a thriving local community. It offers residential support for 11 males and females on the autism spectrum, who may also have a learning disability, or physical health needs.

We can also support those who have:

  • Difficulties with emotional regulation
  • Difficulties with communication
  • Mild to moderate behaviours that may challenge
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
