Job summary

South West Norse is seeking a Painter/Decorator for the Norwich team. The role involves painting and decorating building fabric and fire doors, while ensuring health and safety. You will support in maintaining records for compliance and liaise with the helpdesk to boost efficiency.

A willingness to work nights and travel, with an on-call rota, is required. The successful candidate will join a maintenance-focused team in a commercial setting and receive ongoing training and opportunities within

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience in providing detailed PPM inspection reports, minor repairs and general building maintenance.
• Experience of working in a maintenance team, in a commercial environment, providing a wide range of minor repairs and redecoration across all sectors.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence to meet the travel requirements of the role.
• Take part in an on-call rota.
• Prepared to work nights and away when required.

Responsibilities

• Painting & Decorating building fabric and Fire Doors.
• Taking reasonable care for the Health and Safety of yourself and other.
• Assisting in maintaining accurate records to ensure statutory compliance.
• Liaising with the helpdesk to maximise efficiencies.
• Working at height.
• Overseeing sub-contractor assistance and ensuring all works are of the highest standard.
• Communicating effectively with customers and adapting to their requirements.
• Scheduling and prioritise workload with local managers and customers, ensuring business requirements are met.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in a clean, safe and tidy condition.
• Take part in general maintained call out rota.
