Job summary

HVAC Total FM Recruitment is seeking three experienced Maintenance Painters to join an established on-site engineering team in Liverpool. The role covers painting, decorating and general building fabric maintenance across a busy retail and leisure estate.

You will work 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts between 07:00 and 22:00, with a permanent on-site contract and free parking. A strong background in surface preparation, filling, sanding and making good is essential, plus good customer-facing

Qualifications

• Strong painting and decorating background.
• Experience with surface preparation, filling, sanding and making good.
• Able to carry out planned and reactive decorating works.
• Good all-round building fabric and maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive painting and decorating works
• Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, caulking and making good
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, frames and other internal and external surfaces
• Carry out touch-ups and remedial decoration across the site
• Complete patch repairs and general making-good works
• Carry out minor building fabric repairs
• Assist with basic fire door remedial works where required
• Carry out water flushing and water sampling
• Assist with porter duties, including moving furniture and equipment
• Support seasonal set-up works
• Oversee subcontractors where required
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Maintain a professional approach within a busy public-facing environment

Maintenance Painter

Location: Liverpool
Salary: Up to £35,000
Hours: 4 on 4 off | 12-hour shifts between 07:00 and 22:00

Role Overview

We are looking for three experienced Maintenance Painters to join an established on-site engineering team within a large retail and leisure environment in Liverpool.

This is a static role carrying out planned and reactive painting, decorating and general building fabric maintenance across a busy customer-facing estate.

You’ll need a strong background in painting and decorating, with experience carrying out surface preparation, making-good and general maintenance works. You’ll also need to be comfortable helping with wider building fabric duties when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive painting and decorating works
• Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, caulking and making good
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors, frames and other internal and external surfaces

Experience Required

• Strong painting and decorating background
• Previous experience within Facilities Management, Building Maintenance or a similar environment
• Experienced with surface preparation, filling, sanding and making good
• Confident carrying out both planned and reactive decorating works
• Good all-round building fabric and maintenance skills
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working within a busy public-facing environment
• Able to work effectively as part of an engineering team

Working Pattern

• 4 on 4 off
• 12-hour shifts
• Rotating hours between 07:00 and 22:00
• No call out
