Job summary

CareTech Community Services in Wisbech is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Operative to keep our spaces safe, functional, and welcoming. The role is Mon–Fri, full time, permanent, with a salary of £26,436.80 per annum.

You will carry out repairs, ensure safety, handle compliance checks, and work with the Regional Facilities Manager to support larger projects and improvements. We are an Equal Opportunities Employer and all candidates will undergo an Enhanced DBS Check and reference checks.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of building maintenance.
• Experience with compliance and record keeping.
• A trade background is a bonus, but not essential.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance.
• Ensuring buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and welcoming.
• Managing compliance checks and maintaining accurate records.
• Liaising with contractors and supporting larger projects.
• Identifying improvement opportunities that enhance our spaces.
• Working closely with the Regional Facilities Manager.
