Job summary

Sureserve is recruiting to lead domestic gas installation programmes in Liverpool. You will oversee boiler replacements, heating upgrades and planned works, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence and regulatory compliance.

You will manage contractors, drive performance and deliver a first‑class service to residents, with a focus on safety, quality and value for money.

Qualifications

  • Gas qualifications CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 required.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Experience managing gas installation programmes in social housing or local authority settings.
  • Strong knowledge of gas safety legislation, compliance and best practice.
  • Experience managing contractors and budgets.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day installation programmes and drive performance and customer service.
  • Monitor compliance, contractor performance and ensure quality across projects.
  • Lead installation engineers, supervisors and contractors with clear direction and coaching.

Salary: £48,175 per annum

Location: Liverpool (L7 9NJ)

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40

Working pattern: Monday to Friday (0800-1700)

Holiday entitlement: 20 + Bank Holidays (increases with service)

About The Role

Lead the delivery of domestic gas installation programmes, including boiler replacements, heating system upgrades, and planned investment works. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Work closely with contractors, operational teams, and residents, oversee the day-to-day management of installation programmes, driving high performance, excellent customer service, and continuous improvement
  • Play a key role in monitoring compliance, managing contractor performance, and ensuring residents receive a first-class service throughout every project
  • Lead a team of installation engineers, supervisors, and contractors, you'll provide clear direction, coaching, and support to drive performance and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and customer focus

A significant part of the role will involve managing contractor relationships, monitoring performance, and identifying opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and value for money. You'll use performance data and operational insight to continuously enhance service delivery while ensuring compliance remains at the forefront of everything you do.

What We’re Looking For
  • Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications. As a minimum, successful candidates must have the following: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Proven experience managing gas installation programmes within social housing, local authority, or a regulated housing environment (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of gas safety legislation, compliance, and best practice
  • Experience managing contractors and budgets
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
