Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a reliable Maintenance Operative to join our team in Nottingham. You will carry out general maintenance, repairs and upkeep across a range of trades, with training provided to support your development. This is a hands-on role in a busy environment.

A background in plumbing, electrical, carpentry or decorating is welcome, though not essential. You will work both in a team and independently, prioritising safety and quality.

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

Break: 1-hour lunch break, including 30 minutes paid

Contract: Temporary

About the Role

We are currently looking for a reliable and hands‑on Maintenance Operative to join our team.

We’re looking for someone with previous maintenance experience who is confident carrying out general repairs, upkeep, and maintenance tasks across a range of areas.

A background in a particular trade is not essential — we are open to candidates with experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, decorating, building maintenance, or other relevant trades. Multi-skilled experience would be a strong advantage.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent, with training and development provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repairs

• Has previous maintenance experience


• Is practical, hands‑on and able to use common tools

• Is willing to learn and develop their skills

Plumbing, electrical, carpentry, decorating or other trade experience is a bonus but not essential.
