Leeds | £30,000 per annum | 40 hours per week
We're recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join the onsite team at a high-quality, professionally managed residential development in Leeds.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong general maintenance background who enjoys working in a customer-facing residential environment. You'll be joining an established facilities team, working alongside three other Maintenance Operatives, with responsibility for keeping the apartments, communal areas and wider development maintained to a high standard.
The development offers residents a range of high-end communal amenities, so presentation, attention to detail and customer service are just as important as your technical maintenance skills.
Working as part of the onsite maintenance team, you'll carry out a mixture of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the development.
Day to day, this will include:
The position is genuinely resident-facing, with the successful person expected to communicate professionally with residents and help resolve maintenance and service requests promptly.
You don't necessarily need to be a specialist in one particular trade. We're looking for a good all-round Maintenance Operative who is practical, reliable and comfortable dealing with residents.
Ideally, you'll have:
Experience within residential property would be advantageous, as would qualifications such as 18th Edition, IOSH or NVQ Level 2 Plumbing, but these are desirable rather than essential.
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: Leeds
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days
Some Saturday and public holiday working will be required as part of the rota.
This would suit someone currently working as a Maintenance Operative, Maintenance Technician, Handyperson, Multi-Skilled Operative, Fabric Technician or Building Maintenance Engineer who wants to work at a quality residential development as part of a well-established onsite team.
