Job summary

GIPSIL is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our team in the United Kingdom. This hands-on role supports upkeep, repair and refurbishment of our property portfolio, helping us provide safe, high-quality homes for our tenants.

You will carry out a wide range of trades (joinery, plastering, decorating, plumbing, tiling, bricklaying) and work to deadlines while contributing to planned building projects and ensuring deliveries to site are well managed.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or property refurbishment.
• Multiskilled trade background.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Organised and able to meet deadlines and schedules.
• Strong commitment to quality and customer service.
• Holds a full UK driving licence (if required for the role).

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day reactive and cyclical maintenance across GIPSIL properties.
• Refurbish empty homes to meet Design and Quality standards as directed by the Project Co-ordinator.
• Support the team in bringing leased properties up to Decent Homes standards.
• Carry out a range of general property maintenance tasks (joinery, plastering, decorating, plumbing, tiling, bricklaying).
• Follow work schedules and deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
• Contribute to building and refurbishment projects in line with specifications.
• Collect materials and oversee deliveries to site.
• Represent GIPSIL in a professional, courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day reactive and cyclical maintenance across GIPSIL properties
• Refurbish empty homes to meet Design and Quality standards as directed by the Project Co‑ordinator
• Support the team in bringing leased properties up to Decent Homes standards
• Carry out a wide range of general property maintenance tasks, including:
• Basic joinery
• Plastering
• Decorating
• Plumbing
• Wall tiling
• Bricklaying
• Follow work schedules and deadlines, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently
• Contribute to building and refurbishment projects in line with agreed specifications
• Collect materials and equipment as required and oversee deliveries to site
• Represent GIPSIL in a professional, courteous manner at all times

About You
