Job summary

C8 Mechanical & Electrical Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Property Maintenance Specialist to support upkeep across our commercial properties in Guernsey and beyond. You’ll perform day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and minor installations to keep buildings safe, functional and well presented.

You’ll work across multiple sites, delivering high-quality work, and respond efficiently to maintenance needs while using hand and power tools safely and effectively.

• Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across buildings and equipment
• Completing basic carpentry, painting, and decorating tasks
• Installing fixtures such as shelving, cabinets, and handrails

• Supporting the upkeep of outdoor areas, including light landscaping and general maintenance
• Conducting routine inspections to identify issues and report more complex repairs
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety standards
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and accurate maintenance records
• Assisting external contractors and other trades where needed

We’re looking for a hands‑on Property Maintenance Specialist to support the upkeep of our commercial properties. This is a varied role where you’ll be responsible for carrying out day‑to‑day maintenance, repairs, and minor installation work, helping to ensure our buildings remain safe, functional, and well presented.

• Broad practical skills across general maintenance tasks (e.g. carpentry and decorating)
• Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems
• Confidence using hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach
• Good communication and a professional, customer‑focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full, clean driving licence
