Job summary

Bauer Media Outdoor UK is hiring a Maintenance Operative to join the Delivery Team at our Petersfield Depot, serving Brighton & Hove regions. You will perform repairs, painting and routine maintenance on outdoor advertising sites and bus shelters, with a hands-on approach and periodic gardening tasks.

We offer a competitive salary of £30,600 plus bonuses and generous holidays. A company vehicle is provided for business use, with training and on-call duties after ramp-up.

Qualifications

• Must hold a driving licence with no more than 3 points.
• Cordless hand tools experience preferred.
• Ability to solve problems and work safely outdoors.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair advertising units, bus shelters and billboards in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas.
• Paint, replace parts, perform metal repairs and some gardening tasks as required.
• Support Posting & Cleaning Team to keep adverts presented to a high standard.
• Join an on-call rota after training for out-of-hours incidents.

We're looking for a Maintenance Operative to join the Delivery Team based at our Petersfield Depot.

What will the role involve?

You will be working with the maintenance team, completing all maintenance related repairs on our advertising units, bus shelters and billboards in and around the Brighton & Hove areas, with daily visits to our Petersfield Depot. Ensuring they are completed on time and to the service level agreements. As part of this role, you will provide a hands-on service with various tasks including painting, replacing parts, metal repairs and occasional gardening work. You will also help our Posting & Cleaning Team from time to time, ensuring our clients adverts are posted to a high standard and keeping the bus shelters clean for our local communities to use all year round.

We offer a salary of £30,600 plus an annual bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and some flexibility around working hours. As part of the maintenance team, after training, you would be required to be part of an on call rota for any out of hours damages, we offer attractive allowances and overtime rates for doing this.

You'll be provided with outdoor clothing and a fully expensed Company Vehicle for business use including commuting to and from the depot and to get around our different settings including busy shopping highs streets, residential areas, and rural areas. Dedicated training and support will be available to help get you started.

What is required for the role?

• A Driving Licence with no more than three points
• Some experience using cordless hand tools
• Ability to problem solve
• Able to work successfully as part of a team
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, carrying out physical tasks
• Experience in a previous maintenance or stock management role would be preferred but not essential as training will be given
