About the role
Our maintenance officers play a vital role within the running of the hospices and take pride in the environment in which they operate. It is the Maintenance Officer's responsibility to ensure that all equipment and facilities are fully functioning, prioritizing the safety of employees and customers.
A key aspect of the role is to identify hazards, investigate accidents, and educate employees about risks.
As you will be required to work across all 3 hospices and carry out various reactive and planned maintenance tasks, a valid UK driving licence is essential as frequent travel may be required throughout the day.

St Barnabas House offers specialist palliative care to adults in Worthing, Adur, Arun, and Henfield. Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing care for children with life-limiting conditions. Martlets offers care for those affected by terminal illness in Brighton, Hove, and surrounding areas.
