Building & Maintenance Officer - Zero Hours Contract

About the role

As a Building and Maintenance Officer you will ensure our campus is in top condition to support an excellent student experience. You will be responsible for the daily operation and upkeep of our physical premises and equipment, ensuring they meet high standards. This hands-on role requires a proactive individual dedicated to maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for our students, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Do:

•Open and close campus buildings according to standard protocols.

•Set up internal and external learning spaces and resources for each lesson as directed by the Building and Technical Manager and lecturers.

•Conduct routine and ad-hoc checks on buildings and equipment, maintaining records in line with established processes.

•Liaise with external contractors for maintenance or repairs of buildings and equipment when necessary.

•Ensure the physical presentation of buildings is always up to standard.

•Advocate for and uphold the university’s health and safety policies, providing guidance and escalating concerns about non-compliance to the Senior Health and Safety Officer.
