Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-established heavy manufacturing company to recruit a Maintenance Manager in Dewsbury. You will report to the Factory Manager, lead a small team and drive projects to improve manufacturing capability and efficiency.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical engineering knowledge, hands-on leadership and the ability to deliver plans and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering, ideally within Manufacturing or Construction materials environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive, hands-on approach.
• Previous experience supervising or leading an engineering team.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage priorities and implement effective processes.
• Good IT skills with confidence using Microsoft Office and PPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead on Continuous improvement across all areas through provision of engineering and technical expertise.
• Help develop and delivery the company, factory and engineering plans to achieve key targets and objectives.
• Lead and manage the engineering team, supporting their development and performance.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance and ensure engineering spares and stock are well controlled.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the engineering environment, using 5S principles.
• Use engineering, production and process data to identify improvements and help achieve site targets.
