A market-leading industrial and energy business is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join its team based near Wolverhampton. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader in an industrial or production environment to step into a key management role, contributing to operational excellence and compliance across the site.
About the Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Maintenance Manager will oversee daily operations and deputise when required. The role involves managing production support, material handling, infrastructure, and site assets while ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily site operations and act as deputy in the absence of the Site Manager
Lead and coordinate maintenance, production support, and asset management activities
Ensure compliance with engineering, health and safety, and quality standards
Oversee site infrastructure, security, and emergency response processes
Support and develop site teams including shift managers, supervisors, and maintenance personnel
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Monitor operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain adherence to company procedures and contribute to audits and compliance reviews
Candidate Requirements
HNC or HND in Engineering (or commitment to complete if in progress)
NEBOSH or IOSH certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working on COMAH or hazardous sites preferred
Proven leadership experience in an industrial or high-risk operational setting
Strong understanding of health and safety, asset management, and production operations
Ability to work with recognised Trade Unions and apply HR policies and procedures
Familiarity with ISO quality and environmental standards is advantageous
A proactive, people-focused leadership style with strong communication skills
